The above land missile has been intrusted to Jim Russell Jr.. It is on it's way to Daytona as I write this in Russell's rig.

Thank you Wally and Jim for getting it down there....

Good luck to all at the event.

Is that the same kart that Randy Johnson & Gary Kramb had a couple years ago?

Kind of. It's the same basic chassis, but not much else is the same. Wink

Hey guys!

Just a quick note, I heard Jr. turned a 1:57 today and was concerned/working on the front end lifting!!!!!

JW drove Brannons Gibson/RS last round of practice, not sure what it turned but following him......that bad boy was a handful!!

All business tomorrow...

Robert,

Thank you for the update.....Let Jim know that adding a diffusor to the front nose will help a ton...If it is still an issue, remove the radiator's back shroud to stop forcing the radiator air under the kart....Feet may get warm, but if it stops the lifting then it will be worth it.

Good luck Jr.!!!!!

No, Buddy had other things to do at work and could not make it and I have concerns about my 95 year old mom, so Jr is on his own, sort of. Crying or Very sad I'm helping over the phone all I can.

By the way, Jr told me his fast lap today was 154.68.

Awesome!
I knew it would be very quick there for sure once sorted out!!

Since Wally said "Lap time", and Jim Jr. had a 1:57 in practice according to Robert Lawson, I would say the 1:54 is the lap time. I'm sure he is still getting comfortable too.....I expect the times to drop if all works well!!

I'm sure he could move the front winglets down a little for some downforce to keep the nose down since they are adjustable.

So much for that old record around daytona huh? Hope it all works out well for the races!!!!

Good Luck Jim Jr!!
