I've recently gotten some instruction on driving and we talked about feeling "the set". I'm in a shifter, so 'the set' is a bit more subtle. But I recently got GPS and now see that when I hit the throttle on exit, there is a minor loss of speed due to me setting the rear back down.

Can anyone else talk a little more about the feel of the set? I can't say that I can feel when it happens (hitting the gas, rear dropping down to bind the tire).

I hear people say "in Tag karts the set is way more important than in shifters due to RPM and momentum." But I think that it is just as important in a shifter.
