I had trouble 'migrating', also - would never get the 'confirmation email'. At the time, there was a message saying to contact them at

info@mylaps.com

if you didn't receive it.

Eventually, they did respond with a link that let me complete the process.

That's exactly the problem I'm having, Jerry. Thanks.
I'll have to try the info@mylaps route...

After looking at Orbits, it appears that a run must be selected before it can be printed to pdf. I cannot see a way to print an entire event of multiple runs with a single print command. With that I would say that each run or race pdf would have to be created then combined into a single pdf outside of Orbits using appropriate software such as Adobe Acrobat Pro or equivalent. Otherwise, a separate link to each run result would need to be created on the website......probably not desirable.

Get your act together AMB!!

It took me awhile to get this figured out, but MyLaps has a script that you can use to embed results on your page, like this:

http://www.badgerkartclub.com/mylaps1.htm

You need to insert the following JavaScript on your page:

<script language="JavaScript">
document.write("<Script language='JavaScript' src='http://organization.mylaps.com/co/integrate.jsp?language=1&orgID=69&|"+location.href+"'></SC"+"R"+"IPT>");
</script>

You need to change the orgID to the ID for your organization, the 69 is for Badger Kart Club. Find one of your races on the MyLaps search page, and you should see a link that says "Championship" right above where your runs for your classes start. Click on that, and your organization ID will be in the URL of the page that comes up. For example, if you go to a Road America Kart Club event and click the Championship link, you get to:

http://www.mylaps.com/en/championships/40555

The 40555 is the ID for Road America Kart Club (RAKC), so if you change the "orgID=69" in the script I posted above to "orgID=40555" you'll get results for RAKC. This will work even if you don't use Orbits/MyLaps to post your points - RAKC and BKC don't, but you can still click that Championship link to find the orgID for both of those clubs.

The MyLaps search function leaves a lot to be desired - events don't show up immediately, for one thing. But if you use this script, your events will show up immediately after you upload them from Orbits, and you don't have to do anything.

If I lost you at "JavaScript," PM or email me and I can help you make a page for your site.

Wanted to update everyone. On 5/29 I received the following message from mylaps:
Quote:

After another communication, I checked today and they have made changes but it didn't solve my problems. I guess I should not have been surprised!
But perhaps it solved some of yours.

Yesterday wasn't working for me! They seemed to have changed the main page again? It's very frustrating that they would take what was once a very useful Site and turn it into a piece of crap.

I just checked back and evidently they are still working on things. I am now able to sort by class within a race, which was the main issue I had w/ the new stuff. And here it is only July 8th!
Now if I could just print more than 17 laps, it would be good as far as I am concerned. I've asked my mylaps contact about that and will let you all know if they get back w/ me.

With all the people pissed off over this (look at their facebook page) I can't believe there is not somebody out there thats going to come up competing against their monopoly. When they do mylaps customers will flee in droves. All because of a shoddy website that they really just refuse to fix out of what could be considered no more than arrogance. Twisted Evil
I hate amb/mylaps!

Jim, AIM has nothing to do with it, perhaps you meant AMB the name that preceded MYLAPS. AIM is MyChron and they are the best.

You know that may be easy for a racer to say, especially if you are lucky enough to rent a transponder. But the tracks/clubs/promoters have lots of money wrapped up in software, transponders and the charging units, etc. They can't just throw that investment all by the wayside.
And we happen to own our five transponders!

I guess it depends on what "system" you are referring to as well. AMB provide the hardware and software. Like Linda says these systems are expensive, north of $30K

There are other companies about, off the top of my head there's these two...

In other news, looks like sort by class is back on MyLaps.
