Central States Super Series Kicks Off This Weekend

The Central States Super Series (CSSS) was conceived to serve the Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and Illinois WKA/TaG USA/SKUSA sprint racers that want to run a quality regional sprint series a little closer to home.

Drivers from these areas that wanted to step-up from the clubs would routinely have to drive eight plus hours to run quality tracks against quality competition with consistent rules enforcement and tech. With fuel/travel expenses being what they are today, and for the foreseeable future, a quality sprint series for this geographical area makes sense.

The CSSS (www.thecsss.com) will be a best four of six race series that will be held at 6 great sprint tracks in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa area. Many of the tracks have hosted WKA, IKF, KART, and SKUSA national events.

This series is sanctioned by TAGUSA and is a qualifying series for the 2006 TAG Racing World Championships to be held October 5-8, 2006 at New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, IN.

The first CSSS race will have the karters travel to Terry Traeder’s TNT Kartways in West Quincy, MO (just across the river from Quincy, IL) this weekend - March 25-26. The second round will be a combined regional event with the KART/MASS series at Carrollton, MO the weekend of April 29-30.
