American Ron White, from San Jose, California came away with a stunning victory in the ICC shifter class at the CIK European Championships at the Circuito Internazionale de Napoli in Sarno, Italy.

White, who has excelled in shifter karts for years, winning both Superkarts! USA and Stars of Tomorrow titles, has been busy in the States running the F2000 Zetec formula car series. But an opportunity to go to Europe and race with the world’s best was a worthy challenge.

This was White’s first trip to race in Europe and he was accompanied on the CRG factory team by fellow American shifter kart star Darren Elliott, who has contested in Europe several times and raced the Super ICC class in Sarno this weekend.

Both White and Elliott will continue to race in Europe; their next races being June 27 in Varennes, France and then on to Mariembourg, Belgium for the final European round and World Cup finale.

More information will be forthcoming at the EKN team of translators pores over the italian logs. Official results from the final have not been posted yet.
